Still waiting...

No baby yet. Sad. I've been put on hold until Monday by Susan. She thinks she needs to do some more galavanting around this weekend. Pennsylvania this time. I hate to tell her that if little baby ??? decides she's ready to be born, I'm sure not gonna sit around with my legs crossed all weekend!

In other news, tonight is my last night at work! Woo hoo! That's pretty exciting. Also, my house is clean. I just have to do the bathroom and then it will all be clean. Maybe that's nesting because the baby is about to come. I hope so. Be ready for the phone call!

Making progress!!!

It's begun. I'm 1 centimeter dialated and 50% effaced. Dr. Garrard said he could have thumped her head. I said he should have, maybe that would have made her want to come out!

I also lost a pound this time. I think that's because it's so hot that I don't want to eat and besides that, everything gives me heartburn. If the old wives' tale is true, she's gonna have lots of hair. I doubt it though.

Tonight is baby class. We are supposed to learn about newborn care. Maybe Josh will learn to change a diaper!

Belly at 37 weeks

Just a reminder. This was 25 weeks. I remember thinking this was huge. I was confused!

Waiting....

Well, everything was fine at my last doctor's appointment. I gained 2 pounds this time. That's 19 all together. Other than that, the only thing I learned is that a pregnant lady never wants to hear "thick and closed." Dr. Garrard said she'll have to cook a little longer. I start going once a week now. My next appt is Monday at 1:30.

Come on, little baby!

24 days until I'm due! We're all ready. Really this time. My bag is packed; the baby's bag is packed. We have diapers and wipes and everything. I even got my glider today. Hooray!! Everything in her room is ready, just waiting for a baby to use it all! I'll post pictures of the finished room. It's beautiful. Heather even fixed up her wall yesterday.

Tomorrow is a very eventful day for the Stone family. I go back to the dr. and Josh has 2 job interviews. Let's hope everything turns out well for all of us. I'll let you know how they go. Plus after all of that stuff, we have another baby class. We are going to learn how to install our car seat, I think. That is probably a good thing to know. That's all for now. I'll try to update tomorrow and put up a new belly picture.

Toys and picture frames. She also has a CD player so she can listen to her baby CDs. You can even see our bags packed for the hospital!

Another view. Her dresser is at the end of the crib, but I can't get the camera to take a good picture.

Flower garden. Didn't Heather do a good job?

Mirror so she can see how beautiful she is, books so she'll be smart, and a bed so she'll be well rested!

Baby's coat and bathrobe by her changing table.

Changing table, diapers and blankets, and Mommy's new chair!

ONE month left!!

I'm due one month from today! Can you believe it's time for our little baby to be here already? I can't, but I sure am ready for her. Not today because it would be quite an ordeal for Josh to have to deliver his own baby during a hurricane, but maybe tomorrow. Just imagine that!

On Monday I had a doctor's appointment. I only gained 1 pound this 2 weeks. 17 so far. That's not bad, especially since I'm carrying a giant baby! After the 18th, I go every week until I have her. I don't think I'll have any of those appointments, but you never know.

I'll let you know if the hurricane gets us, but I'm not too worried.
