Happy Halloween!

Lily decided that she wanted to be a flower for Halloween. However, when she actually put the costume on, she decided that it wasn't too fun. It was still very cute though.
She has also started watching TV. She'll just sit and stare at it for as long as you let her sit there or until she falls asleep. It is very funny to see a little baby watching a football game like she understands exactly what is happening. It's a contest between Sonya and Josh whether she'll say "War Eagle" or "Roll Tide". We'll just have to wait and see!

Happy Halloween, guys! Too bad I couldn't come trick-or-treat you, but next week I'm gonna show you how good I am at field hockey! Posted by Picasa

Sad little flower. Isn't she pitiful? Posted by Picasa

Our first family holiday! Posted by Picasa

It's the great pumpkin, Charlie Brown!

And it has baby Lily inside!

Saturday was a pretty eventful day for Lily. We went to the Pumpkin Patch Arts and Crafts fair with Grandma and Sonya. It wasn't that fun so we went to the Riverfront Arts and Food fair in Montgomery. Lily wasn't too impressed with that either, but she did watch her favorite auntie Sonya get funnel cake alllllll over herself. Since that wasn't enough excitement, we bought a big pumpkin for her. Sonya and I carved it, and Lily tested out our design. She thought it tasted pretty good. If you think that's cute, stay tuned for next weeks Halloween costume pictures!

And Happy Birthday to Kellie! We tried to call, but missed you. Lily's still waiting to meet you!

Lily at the Alabama National Fair.  Posted by Picasa

People comes from miles around....

from the farms and from the towns,
to where excitement will be found
at the Alabama National Fair!

Those people are getting a bad deal. Lily was not at all impressed with the great fair. She slept for the first part and cried for the rest. There were too many people and noises. She was also not excited about the animals. I think it's more exciting to see a cow when you can just look out the window in your pajamas to see one. She didn't understand what was so impressive about them. Maybe next year she'll like it a little better. I sure hope she's happier about hockey day than she was about fair day!!

On a brighter note, all of the excitement made her very tired. She layed down with me on the couch and we slept from about 10 last night to 6:30 this morning. I haven't gotten that much sleep in probably 5 months!

Now, Lily, let's talk. All of these people want to see your beautiful smile. Do you think maybe you can let mommy get a few pictures of it? Posted by Picasa

I don't think I want them to see me smile. They should have to come visit for that. Let me think about it... Posted by Picasa

Well, maybe a little one. Posted by Picasa

What about a half-smile? Posted by Picasa

How's this for a smile, mommy? Posted by Picasa
