Crafty Queen

Lily got a kit of foam beads from the Dollar Tree. She's gotten her dollar's worth, to be sure. They came with a big plastic needle and some plastic thread. She's been making necklaces.

She's still quite the dresser. Here we have a monkey hula girl shirt. The monkey has a fringed skirt on and Lily will let you feel it if you want. She's also wearing a flower tutu. It has flowers that are loose between the layers. I'm sure she has on some kind of princess/cartoon character panties. She also has a little knotted hairdo. I know, you wish you could be as stylish as her. I do too.

You'd think after almost 3 years (Yikes!!) I would have gotten over how stinking cute she is, but no, I haven't.

Lily has the best daddy in the whole world.

Lily has the best daddy because:

• He brings her home pirate girl shirts from the beach. (He also brought a ball that he lets her throw in the house, but that is clearly not going to make the list.)
• He lets her throw the ball in the house.
• He knows all of the best songs...F.R.E.E. that spells free credit report dot com baby. (When the commercial came on today, she actually said, "Hey, that's the song Daddy sings for me.")
• He likes playing with her so much that at least once a week when we've gone to bed, he says, "Let's go wake Lily up." (No, let's not.)
• He lets her watch cartoons instead of MSBNBC or baseball.
• He's showing her fun ways to play with the pets. (Delilah doesn't really think holding her like a baby is fun, but Lily and Daddy love to play that game.)
• He loves to drink pretend coffee out of hot pink cups.
• He likes to play with imaginary dogs named Max. (He's so tiny. You should come visit him. Max loves company, but he gets in trouble a lot and Lily has to shut her bedroom door on him.)
• He loves Lily's mommy.
• He loves Lily.

Happy Father's Day, Josh. We both love you more than you could ever imagine. Thank you for loving us.

God's Bum

As some of you know, Lily and Mommy read from the God book before she goes to bed. By God book, I mean the Big Picture Story Bible. We also have another God book, which we recently started reading sometimes. When we had finished reading the story about God as the cloud leading the Isrealites in the desert, I was about to turn the page. Lily stopped me and got very tickled. She covered her mouth with her hands and told me, "Mommy, I seed God's bum." I almost peed my pants laughing with her. She's a funny one, my Lily pie!

I don't know if you've ever tried to take a picture of 2 2-year-olds, but I don't recommend it. There was exactly one shot of all of the together to chose from. At least we did get one.

Family Fun Week!
