A day in the sun...

4 months old!
These are the pictures from our 4 month old "photo shoot." Of course Lily had to help. Jacob was too squirmy to take very many good ones.
At his 4 month check up, Jacob weighed 14 lbs, 5 ozs and was 26 1/2 inches long. He's a tall boy.
He is still a happy baby, even though he never sleeps. He wakes up about every 3 hours.
He can roll over both ways.

5th year celebration!
After our small birthday party and the start of school, we went to the beach for Lily's birthday trip. It works out much better than a big party. We stayed on Okaloosa Island with my parents and Sonya and Sean. The weather wasn't great, but we got to get in the ocean some. Lily really just wanted to pick up shells. They were all the size of my fingernail, but she got half a bucket full!

Kindergarten!
A big thing that has happened lately is Lily starting kindergarten. She didn't cry or anything. We are very excited about this big adventure for her. Her reading is already getting better. She's in the accelerated reading program. Proud Mama right here! She seems to like it. She tells big stories everyday when we all get home.

Not the best first day of school pictures, but it's an ordeal to get out of the house every morning.

Let's take pictures, Mommy!
Our big girl turns 5!
Lily had a small birthday party for her 5th birthday. We had cake and ice cream with the grandparents and Sonny. We took another trip for her birthday this year. Her top picks were Illinois or the beach. We chose the beach.

Even at the young age of five, she knows the best part of the cake is the frosting on the bottom of the candle.
